A 6-year-old girl and her mom came in to check out the machine. Basically, we put the electrode on her infraspinatus (see Kath's picture)

What worked the best was for me to sit next to her on her affected side, put my elbow against her elbow, and try to get her to reach for things up and out to the side. You could do this with treats or something like that with Ryan. You are resisting their elbow coming up and trying to get his hand to come up and out - sort of like a "hitchiking". Here is a picture from a different session:
